Trust.

How do you decide who to trust and who not to trust?

It's one of the key issues that monitors our social interactions with our fellow human beings. Now researchers at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas have revealed what is going on in our brain as we decide who is trustworthy and who is not.

Using brain imaging techniques they asked 100 participants to play a simple game that involved trusting or not trusting a complete stranger. The results could help us understand the evolutionary basis for trust.

The MIT Ambient Intelligence Group

The goal of the Ambient Intelligence research group is to radically rethink the human-machine interactive experience.

By designing interfaces that are more immersive, more intelligent, and more interactive they hope to change the human-machine relationship and create systems that are more responsive to people's needs and actions, and that become true "accessories" for expanding our minds.

Wallace Stevens

A Rabbit As King Of The Ghosts

The grass is full
And full of yourself.
The trees around are for you,
The whole of the wideness of night is for you,
A self that touches all edges,
You become a self that fills the four corners of night.

Agostino Di Falco - MTV Advertising and Neuroscience podcast

Check it out here. If the utter lack of enthusiasm on the part of both interviewer and interviewee doesn't put you into the early stages of brain stem death, there are some very counter intuitive findings about TV advertising. Pimp my brain. via researchtalk.co.uk

This gets my vote for the greatest thing ever made. W+K, Genius.

Derren Brown - Ohh, how could I resist.

I have resisted the charms of Darren Brown for some time now but the strain of his awesome NLP powers is simply too, too much. Plus, he looks like a very nice fellow. Here's a video of his NLP in action. No special effects. Just a brain cold-booting another brain. Please expect many many more Darren Brown videos. I can't pretend it's real science, but I can't pretend I don't love it. via livevideo.com
